Sushi Wallet Take 2

The Sushi Wallet, by Yellow Bird Design is a minimalist, slim wallet made of a 3 inch strip of heavy-duty elastic with a coloured trim edge. It holds anywhere from 2-6 cards comfortably (with potential for a couple more if squished in) and has a cash pocket in the front with a bottom seam to keep your money from slipping through.

Sarah (the founder of Yellow Bird Design) made her first Sushi Wallet for her brother Josh in 2012 when he asked her to make an elastic band to hold his cards- in the hopes of ditching his bulky leather wallet.

She bought elastic and bias tape at the fabric store and created what is now the "Sushi Wallet." He loved it and started using it immediately and daily. Josh then moved to India where it has received lot of hard use and is still holding up great. Sarah made more of the same wallet for most of her friends and family. One thing led to another with more and more people wanting one the Kickstarter campaign was born.

Unfortunately the Sushi wallet fell just short of an ambitious goal during it's first Kickstarter campaign. However, it is clear that love for the wallet has not faded having blown past their new, more realistic goal in the first three days of their campaign.
